As part of our Accounts Payable team, you'll be a crucial player in keeping our financial engine running. Your role will focus on managing outgoing payments and ensuring our vendors are paid on time, while also contributing to the broader financial health of the company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable Team
  • Keep the Cash Flowing: Assist with weekly and daily payment runs
  • Take Ownership: Manage payment and reconciliation of creditor accounts
  • Track Performance: Help produce key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Meet the Targets: Ensure the team consistently meets monthly reconciliation goals
  • Drive Improvement: Review current procedures and suggest innovative process improvements
  • Tackle Special Projects: Work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager on various ad hoc projects

Requirements:

  • Payment Processing Expertise: Experience with BACS/CHAPS payments on banking systems
  • Precision & Speed: Excel at data entry, balancing accuracy with efficiency
  • Technical Know-How: Familiarity with Sage 200 and Xero, strong IT skills, especially in Excel
  • Relationship Builder: Able to build strong relationships across the business
  • Effective Communicator: Excellent communication skills, not afraid to offer constructive feedback
