Job Description:

We are searching for a meticulous and dedicated Benefits Analyst to join our team in Newport News, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for administering employee benefits, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be tasked with addressing queries on benefits and retirement plans, and facilitating the enrollment and termination processes for various benefit plans.

Job Responsibility:

  • Administer employee benefits and manage associated monthly billing
  • Coordinate and direct the implementation of benefit programs designed to insure employees against loss of income due to various factors
  • Schedule and manage regular Open Enrollment meetings for all employees
  • Input, audit, and maintain benefits deductions in ERA for all employees
  • Evaluate services, coverage, and options available through insurance and investment companies to determine programs best meeting needs of organization
  • Prepare and distribute information to inform employees of benefits program and special employer sponsored activities
  • Manage the enrollment and termination processes for benefit plans and 401K plan for all eligible employees
  • Act as a liaison between the company and benefit vendors
  • Handle 401K loan requests, distributions, and contributions
  • Conduct audits of Employee Navigator for Benefits Insurance representatives
  • Coordinate COBRA Benefits for all termed employees including posting of received COBRA payments
  • Administer FMLA including designation notice, notice of rights and responsibilities, determining eligibility, tracking leave, and exhaustion notices
  • Process Armada Care claims and prescription benefits for executives
  • Stay up-to-date on benefits best practices, laws and regulations governing employee, and benefits through seminars, webinars and other detail oriented education

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Benefits Analyst
  • Proficient in using ADP - Financial Services for benefits administration and analysis
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is a must
  • Strong CRM skills for effective customer relationship management
  • Proven experience in auditing related to employee benefits
  • Comprehensive understanding of benefit functions including plan design and administration
  • Previous experience in claim administration is required
  • Knowledge of COBRA administration procedures and regulations
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey benefit information to employees
  • Proficiency in benefits administration, including health, life, disability, and retirement plans
  • Demonstrable skills in benefits analysis, with an ability to assess plan effectiveness and suggest improvements
