Job Description:

This role supports Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduates in completing their required US Internship hours to develop their pharmacist knowledge, skills, and leadership ability. It offers a mixed modality learning plan and exposure to patient care, practice management, and education.

Job Responsibility:

  • Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assist pharmacy and front store customers with questions and concerns
  • Process prescriptions including translation of SIG codes, counting and labeling
  • Resolve third party rejections and complete manual claim forms
  • Ensure inventory management policies and procedures are followed
  • Offer to counsel and direct customers to pharmacist
  • Ensure patient confidentiality
  • Comply with federal and state laws, rules, and CVS procedures
  • Support supervising pharmacist and comply with regulations
  • Maintain professional pharmacy department standards
  • Coordinate and train Pharmacy Support Staff.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED)
  • Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent Pharmacist degree from a Non-US accredited school of pharmacy
  • active Pharmacy Intern license in state where district is located
  • Foreign Graduate from a Non-US Accredited college or school of pharmacy prior to beginning Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduate Training Program at CVS
  • Pharmacist licensure in the state in which the position is based within 120 days of completion of US Intern hours
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Completion of US internship hours within 18 months
  • Ability to lift and exert up to 20 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) preferred
  • Eligibility to immunize preferred
  • Prior relevant work experience preferred (0-5 years).
