Job Description:

The Junior Accountant will manage the processing of customer credit applications, ensure the upkeep of accurate customer records, and provide solutions to customer inquiries. This is a highly visible position that will have an opportunity to learn all aspects of the accounting function from start to finish for an extremely well established but growing New Orleans staple.

Job Responsibility:

Effectively manage customer credit applications to ensure accuracy
Handle account reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy
Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) in a prompt and accurate manner
Support the creation of financial statements, general ledger entries and month end reporting
Keep accurate customer credit records to ensure data integrity
Use Microsoft Excel for financial data management and analysis
Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary
Utilize ERP solutions and Excel for business process management

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Proficiency in ERP
Ability to prepare accurate and timely accounting entries
Solid experience in account reconciliation
Comprehensive understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices in the wholesale distribution industry
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new accounting trends and regulations
