We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical and Electrical Package Planner to join our team on a contract basis and contribute to the successful delivery of a major project. You will play a vital role in the planning and scheduling of all mechanical and electrical packages, ensuring efficient project execution.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain comprehensive plans and schedules for all mechanical and electrical packages within the project, ensuring alignment with overall project milestones and deadlines
Create and manage critical path analyses, identifying key dependencies and potential delays
Develop resource loading plans, allocating appropriate personnel and equipment for each package
Monitor progress against the schedule, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including planning reports, schedule updates, and risk assessments
Collaborate closely with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors responsible for the respective MEICA packages
Ensure clear communication and alignment with other project teams
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including the project manager, client representatives, and other project team members
Identify and assess potential risks related to mechanical and electrical packages
Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address identified risks
Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical and Electrical Planner, ideally within the water treatment or construction industry, with a focus on package planning
Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile)
Proficient in using planning software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Security Clearance
Nice to have:
Knowledge of SCADA systems and control systems
