Medical Administrator

• Handle online submissions and manage a significant amount of paperwork, ensuring records are accurately maintained
• Regularly update families on the status of authorizations, delivering both positive and challenging news with sensitivity and professionalism
• Act as a backup for the team, assisting when required and ensuring a seamless workflow
• Process statements of medical necessity and secure prior authorizations for growth hormone therapies by contacting insurance providers directly
• Manage approvals, denials, and appeals for submitted authorizations, resolving issues as they arise
• Maintain email correspondence with insurance providers, families, and medical teams and handle approximately 20-30 calls per day
• Navigate complex authorization processes and ensure that families and medical staff are guided and supported

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with Allscripts software
• Experience with Cerner Technologies is beneficial
• Competence in various Computer Programs
• Knowledge of EHR SYSTEM
• Capable of effectively Answering Inbound Calls
• Experience in Billing Functions
• Ability to create and understand Charts - Graphs
• Expertise in Claim Administration
• Familiarity with Clinical Trial Operations is advantageous
