Job Description:

As a graduate pharmacist intern at CVS Health, you work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to develop your professional skills, increase access to healthcare, and deliver comprehensive pharmacy services. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe and effective work environment, managing inventory, and providing exceptional care to patients.

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • 0-3 years prior relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining a valid Pharmacist intern and/or technician licensure as required by state BOP
  • Strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm
  • Ability to reach overhead
  • Extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
  • Precision control: able to adjust machines to exact positions
  • Stoop to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions
  • Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
  • Ability to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.

Nice to have:

  • Immunization eligibility
  • 3-5 years prior relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Grad interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function
