Job Description:

As a graduate pharmacist intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring exceptional care to patients while adhering to standards of Patient Safety, Regulatory Requirements, Quality Assurance, Inventory Management, and Workflow Management.

Requirements:

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • 0-3 years prior relevant work experience
  • must possess or be in process of obtaining a valid Pharmacist intern and/or technician licensure as required by state BOP
  • strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
  • complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • finger dexterity: picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
  • ability to reach overhead
  • ability to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
  • ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
  • precision control: able to adjust machines to exact positions
  • stoop to a considerable degree
  • visual acuity for activities such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading and visual inspection involving small parts
  • ability to orally communicate information and instructions
  • occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
  • ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within state guidelines
  • ability to complete additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager

Nice to have:

  • Immunization eligibility
  • 3-5 years prior relevant work experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
