Job Description:

As a graduate pharmacist intern at CVS Health, you will play a key role as part of the pharmacy team to increase access, lower costs, and improve quality of care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management (excluding final prescription verification). The role involves motivating and inspiring the pharmacy support staff, adapting to changes in healthcare settings, and applying knowledge to deliver better outcomes.

Requirements:

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • 0-3 years prior relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining a valid Pharmacist intern and/or technician licensure as required by state BOP
  • Strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Finger dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
  • Ability to reach overhead, stretch or reach out with arms and/or legs
  • Precision control: able to adjust machines to exact positions
  • Ability to stoop using full lower extremities and back muscles
  • Visual acuity to perform activities such as reading or computer usage
  • Oral communication of information and instructions
  • Lifting of up to 20 lbs occasionally
  • exerting up to 10 lbs of force frequently.

Nice to have:

  • Immunization eligibility
  • 3-5 years prior relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Grad interns should strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
