Job Description:

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will play a critical role in a Retail Pharmacy setting by ensuring safety, providing exceptional care to patients, maintaining professional practices, adhering to regulations, quality assurance, customer service, managing inventory, and workflows. This role requires training within state guidelines, attention to detail, active problem-solving, and leadership qualities. Additional responsibilities include supporting the broader goals of CVS Health in making healthcare accessible and affordable.

Requirements:

  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
  • 0-3 years relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Finger dexterity for typing or working primarily with fingers
  • Ability to reach overhead and grasp items
  • Precision control to adjust machines to exact positions
  • Ability to stoop and use lower extremities to move items
  • Visual acuity to transcribe, view, read, or inspect small parts
  • Ability to communicate orally
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs

Nice to have:

  • Immunization eligibility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met
