Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians at CVS Health support pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence. Key duties include assisting patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly and safely, following Standard Operating Procedures, demonstrating care, and contributing to a safe and inclusive work environment.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation
following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
completing basic inventory activities such as accurately putting away medication deliveries, completing cycle counts, and returns-to-stocks
contributing to a high-performing team and seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
voluntarily traveling to stores in the market to work shifts as needed
complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
delivering additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
must be at least 16 years of age if the state board does not mandate a minimum age requirement
must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program if not mandated otherwise
state-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
