Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

Managing all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
promptly, safely, and accurately filling patient prescriptions
demonstrating compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers
adhering to professional and ethical standards
maintaining full compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
maintaining patient confidentiality
building clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge
completing CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
satisfying all registration, licensing, and certification requirements

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
licensure requirements vary by state
ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
notice and understand customers’ reactions and respond appropriately
use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues
actively listen by giving full attention to what others are saying
use math to solve a problem, such as calculating day’s supply of a prescription
ability to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
choose the best course of action when faced with a complex situation
remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods of time
moving about on foot to accomplish tasks
working primarily with fingers
extending hands and arms in any direction
bending body downward and forward
stooping
expressing ideas by spoken word
perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels
close visual acuity to perform activities
occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.

Nice to have:

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
