Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health, you will play a critical role in supporting pharmacy operations and delivering exceptional service to patients. You'll operate as part of the pharmacy team, demonstrating care and ensuring accurate prescription fulfillment while contributing to a positive experience. Responsibilities include inventory management, compliance with regulations, and delivery of additional health services.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and care during interactions
Completing inventory activities such as medication deliveries and cycle counts
Expanding clinical and technical knowledge to assist patients
Remaining flexible for scheduling and traveling to other stores when necessary
Complying with all laws, regulations, and ethical standards
Delivering additional patient health care services such as immunizations and testing where allowed
Supporting vaccine preparation and administration, educating patients about vaccines, monitoring for adverse reactions, and ensuring proper documentation.

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention to detail
Ability to switch between tasks
Ability to confirm prescription information accurately
Actively look for ways to assist customers in a friendly manner
Communication skills
Basic mathematical reasoning
Problem-solving skills
Physical ability to lift and move items, remain mobile during shifts, and perform repetitive movements.

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations.
