Job Responsibility:

  • Ultimately accountable for the control design of the team including timely completion and monitoring of control activities
  • Manage the scope of work that belong under the team’s mandate and participate in process migrations
  • Hire and retain talent, coaching supervisors of individual teams
  • Represents the teams on local and regional management meeting
  • Use effective escalation to ensure issues are highlighted in a timely manner
  • Support standardization efforts and work on strategic as well as ad-hoc projects
  • Ensure that all deliverables are met, regulatory deadlines are kept and audit rating is satisfactory
  • Evaluate and resolve complex issues and select the best action by weighing various alternatives

Requirements:

  • At least 6-8 years of relevant professional experience
  • A university or college degree in Finance/Accounting is an advantage but not a must
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Confident analytical and communication skills
  • Controls focused mind-set
  • Strong PC skills in Excel, Word
  • Knowledge of or demonstrated interest in financial products is an advantage
  • Good financial accounting skills
  • Ability to inspire and lead a group of professionals and to influence senior management
  • A self-starter who proactively seeks to improve existing controls and streamline processes
