Job Description:

We’re seeking a Senior Construction Accountant to join our client's team and play a vital role on the accounting team. If you thrive in a multi-company environment and excel at solving problems, maintaining accuracy, and juggling multiple responsibilities, this position could be a perfect fit for you!

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing the entire Accounts Payable cycle
  • Facilitating payments to consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Investigating and resolving issues related to processing invoices and purchase orders
  • Managing lien waiver disbursement and collection
  • Overseeing Accounts Receivable processes
  • Entering journal entries, preparing general ledger reconciliations, and conducting comprehensive report analyses
  • Leading monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
  • Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and associated transactions
  • Applying required construction accounting standards and procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a multi-company environment
  • Previous construction accounting experience highly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of current construction accounting standards and compliance requirements
  • Experience with the general ledger, journal entries, and all aspects of full-cycle accounting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Alignment with the company’s values of working hard and embracing challenges with a positive attitude
