Job Description:

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term role that prepares an employee to perform a higher-level supervisory role, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The position involves completing basic operations and management skills training and building customer loyalty through exceptional service and abiding by CVS/pharmacy culture. Upon training completion, the position provides eligibility for promotion to Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor roles. Responsibilities include supervising the store crew, assisting customers, and ensuring smooth store operations when no manager is onsite.

Job Responsibility:

Work effectively with store management and store crews
supervise the store’s crew through assigning, directing and following up of all activities
effectively communicate information both to and from store management and crews
assist customers with their questions, problems and complaints
promote CVS customer service culture (greeting, offering help, and thanking customers)
handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy
maintain customer/patient confidentiality

Requirements:

Deductive reasoning ability
analytical skills
computer skills
advanced communication skills
ability to work a flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight and weekend shifts
ability to work overtime as needed

Nice to have:

Experience in retail
High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
