Job Description:

Staff Pharmacists at CVS Health play a critical role by cultivating excellence in pharmacy practices, managing operations, providing patient care, and leading pharmacy teams. This includes dispensing medications, overseeing pharmacy workflow, offering immunizations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting colleagues in their professional growth.

Job Responsibility:

Managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations
Overseeing pharmacy operations in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager
Safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Coaching pharmacy team to provide compassionate care
Promoting and administering immunizations
Managing pharmacy inventory including cold chain products
Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Supporting access to clinical care
Maintaining technical and clinical skills
Following company policies related to patient safety and workplace inclusivity
Performing additional tasks as directed.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Friendly and team-oriented demeanor
Effective verbal and written communication
Mathematical reasoning skills
Issue resolution skills
Physical abilities including mobility, lifting, and extended periods of standing.

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require.
