Job Description:

A company specialising in infrastructure works and public lighting is looking for a Street Lighting Technician to join their growing team. The role offers a starting salary of €16.98 gross per hour, with the potential for an increase to €19.11 per hour after one year and passing an exam to work independently. The company also offers €0.1579 per kilometre for travel between construction sites, 20 paid vacation days, and the possibility of permanent employment after 12 months. This role involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions, installing and maintaining street lighting, and ensuring work is completed according to safety standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Install new street lighting fixtures and remove old ones
  • Place necessary signage around the worksite
  • Perform repair work in the event of storm damage or accidents
  • Assist in the placement of new lighting poles and electrical connections to the grid
  • Finish the worksite according to industry standards and ensure safety during operations
  • Work with a team directed by the project leader, following the project schedule

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in street lighting installations or associated maintenance
  • Proficiency in English or French (medium level)
  • Dutch is a plus
  • A valid driver’s license
  • truck driving experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
  • Able to perform physical work using hand and mechanical tools
  • Not afraid of heights
