Job Description:

The Vendor Management (VM) Lead is a key role part of the Global Vendor Management team, a function which supports multiple organizations within Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI). The role adds value by managing four primary areas: Third Party risk/compliance, Service Reviews, Contracts, and Service Improvement – all revolving around suppliers/third-parties. The VM Lead will perform end-to-end analysis, implementation, execution, management, oversight and reporting with third party relationships owned by the organization. The VM Lead will partner with Management, Third Party Officers, Third-Party Utility, Sourcing, Legal, and other groups in order to be successful. The role centers around having trust and partnership with various people and functions, and leveraging these relationships in order to be effective and efficient.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive discussions and build strong relationships with partner functions, such as Procurement, Legal, Third Party Management, Risk, serving as a bridge between functions and the business
  • Drive supplier optimization and efficiencies, such as cost reduction, operational improvements, contract combinations, and other work to drive efficiency and effectiveness for the business
  • Work with business contacts to establish appropriate risk mitigation activities to minimize risk to Citi
  • Knowledge and understanding of Third Party Management and Risk Management, Coordination, tracking and reporting of Third Party Management and Third Party Risk Management activities within the business and to management
  • Liaise with the ESC Third Party Utility, as necessary, to review and respond to the results of third party risk management activities conducted centrally by the Utility
  • Perform Compliance Assessments as needed, identify/report exceptions and drive remediation activities to sustainable processes
  • Review, assess and act on results of assessments/controls
  • Manage and/or Conduct on-site visits of suppliers, as required
  • Interact with suppliers on escalations of non-performance and/or contractual issues to drive resolution and service improvement, as appropriate
  • Monitor and report on third party performance and SLAs, either directly or through coordination with other Citi stakeholders
  • Build and maintain metrics, data, summaries, and dashboards of third party performance and footprint
  • Identify and drive improvements using data
  • Lead Contractual engagements for the business, such as Amendments, Renewals, and RFQ, RFP, RFI
  • Handling ad-hoc requests from stakeholders, and using relationships and knowledge to solve problems
  • Understanding that every issue is also an opportunity
  • Standardize and drive SLA performance and Service Reviews with key suppliers
  • Present executive briefs and high-level metrics senior management and stakeholders
  • Drive process improvement and make recommendations to improve ways of working

Requirements:

  • Excellent project management, planning and organizational skills

  • Must manage/track self and others, on a number of different tasks at one time
  • 7+ years experience with negotiation and/or change management
  • 5+ years experience in Project Management and/or related areas, using PM skills
  • 5+ years experience working with other countries and businesses areas
  • 2+ years experience in a supplier/third-party function or equivalent/related experience
  • Ability to build presentations and present complex and sensitive issues to management
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral – with ability to sell upwards to senior management
  • Desire to learn, tackle new challenges as they arise, and grow the role - no day will be the same
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Masters preferred
  • Excellent Written and Spoken English
  • Additional languages a plus
