Jobbeschreibung:

3-year vocational training to become a Lokrangierführer:in (Eisenbahner:in im Betriebsdienst Lokführer:in und Transport) (w/m/d) for DB Cargo AG at the Völklingen location. The vocational school is located in Homburg (Saar).

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Mainly shunting freight cars onto the corresponding directional tracks
Assembling trains by coupling and uncoupling individual cars
Checking the functionality of freight trains and securing loads
Learning the rules of safe railway operation and your vehicle inside out
Occasionally driving with your locomotive to nearby customers in your region to pick up goods to be transported
Starting and ending your workday at your regional marshalling yard

Anforderungen:

Successful completion of school with a recognized German school diploma
Enjoy working outdoors and enthusiasm for technology
Willingness to take responsibility and make decisions
Reliability and resilience
Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
