Jobbeschreibung:

3-year apprenticeship as a shunting locomotive driver (railway worker in operational service locomotive driver and transport) (m/f/d) for DB Cargo AG at the Dillingen (Saar) location. The vocational school is located in Homburg (Saar).

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Driving with a diesel locomotive to nearby customers to pick up goods to be transported
Shunting freight wagons onto the corresponding directional tracks
Assembling trains by coupling and uncoupling individual wagons
Learning the rules for safe railway operations and your vehicle inside out
Checking the functionality of freight trains and securing loads
Starting and ending your working day at your local marshalling yard

Anforderungen:

You have (soon) successfully completed school and have a recognized school-leaving certificate in Germany
You enjoy working outdoors and are enthusiastic about technology
You remain calm and keep an overview even in challenging situations
You like to take responsibility and make decisions
You are reliable and resilient
You can imagine working in shifts, on weekends and on public holidays
