3-year apprenticeship as a locomotive shunter (railway worker in operational service as a locomotive driver and transport) for DB Cargo AG in Cologne. The vocational school is located in Cologne.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Drive diesel locomotives to nearby customers to pick up goods
shunting freight cars onto corresponding tracks
assembling trains by coupling and uncoupling wagons
learning and applying railway safety rules and vehicle knowledge
checking the functionality of freight trains and securing loads
starting and ending the workday at the regional marshalling yard
