• conducting plan and partial acceptance tests of signaling and safety technology systems
• providing technical guidance to testing assistants and being responsible for their performance results
• developing concepts and strategies for modernization and preparation of future network expansion and restructuring
• acting as a technical contact and expert in construction projects and project planning related to signaling and safety technology
• participating in regional and central special projects
• contributing to the certification of new signaling and safety technology specialists

• successfully completed technical college/university degree, ideally in electrical engineering or communication technology/automation technology/telecommunications or comparable field with sufficient electrical engineering content
• recognition as a testing expert by the Federal Railway Authority in the area of signaling and safety technology
• ideally recognition as a plan reviewer
• knowledge in the field of telecommunications and electrical engineering
• ideally several years of professional experience in planning and/or acceptance in the field of signaling and safety technology
• flexibility and willingness to occasionally work on weekends, holidays, or nights on construction sites
• persuasiveness, assertiveness, and confident demeanor
• valid class B driver's license is an advantage
