DB Regio Bus Mitte GmbH is seeking a Business Controller to join the finance team at their Mainz location, with additional office locations available in Darmstadt, Kassel, Koblenz, Speyer, or Wiesbaden. The role involves financial planning, reporting, profitability calculations, transport service management, and improving commercial performance within a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Act as a business partner in controlling, part of the finance department, sparring partner for management and branch management, contributing to entrepreneurial measures to achieve revenue and cost targets
create plans, manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, handle regular reporting, including profitability calculations for investment and expense projects, make-or-buy decisions for workshops or contractor services
calculate and manage transport services in competitive tendering procedures, analyze deviations and derive measures throughout the contract lifecycle
monitor agreed measures, evaluate effectiveness, contribute to continuous improvements, organize business portfolio analyses, including evaluating transport service accounts and necessary provisions calculations
ensure investment controlling and coordinate with relevant departments
provide ad-hoc reports and special evaluations on all commercial issues of the region.

Anforderungen:

A completed degree with a focus on finance/controlling
alternatively, a completed commercial training with extensive professional experience in controlling
practical experience in controlling, ideally familiar with topics such as cost accounting, calculations, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets
ability to understand, analyze, and communicate complex topics
proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, and SAP
ideally experience with VBA, TM1, or Think Cell
taking responsibility for tasks
strong communication skills and persistence
ability to involve colleagues and service providers
solution-oriented and independent working style.
