The job involves a tailored internal further training program to support the candidate on the way to becoming a signal mechanic. The candidate will develop their competencies and acquire extensive knowledge for their new role. The position is for a signal mechanic (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG in the Villingen-Schwenningen region. As part of a qualification, the candidate will initially start as a skilled worker in the field of signaling and safety technology. Over the first 18 months, the candidate will go through several development steps to the target position of signal mechanic. Further professional development is possible beyond this.

• responsible for the maintenance of a variety of different systems in the field of signaling and safety technology
• inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical components, e.g., signals, switches, level crossings
• using modern measuring devices to record and evaluate the condition of the systems
• responsible for technical documentation
• tasks in the regional area are mostly carried out in a team, independently and reliably
• work starts and ends daily at the central base in Villingen-Schwenningen
• participation in internal qualification program, regular training, and continuous learning

• successfully completed training in electrical engineering, e.g., as an electrician, mechatronics technician, electrical specialist in industry, electronics technician for operational technology or automation technology
• willingness to participate in rolling on-call duty (deployment every 4-5 weeks)
• ability to work outdoors
• reliable, team-oriented, and flexible
• valid class B driver's license is an advantage
