Description du poste:

The engineer in automation for project Olympus is responsible for supervising the technical aspects of project Olympus, aiming to update the warehouse management system (WMS) and warehouse control system (WCS) for the European Distribution Center (EDC) in Courcelles. This role involves developing a roadmap, cost estimate, implementation plan for the automation system, as well as equipment upgrades.

Responsabilités:

Develop business plans, project schedules, resource needs and budgets for project Olympus while ensuring alignment with MedTech objectives
supervise supplier partners in designing, implementing, and operating systems in accordance with company standards in software, hardware, safety, security, ISRM, and IT practices
support global compliance strategies and provide solutions for addressing governmental compliance relating to WCS systems (FDA, SOX, other global authorities)
collaborate with cross-functional teams to represent the engineering workstream to meet project goals and objectives
support development of a clear proposal for updating WCS systems along with required resources, implementation plan, interdependencies, risks, and mitigation measures
manage project risks including contingency planning, initiating corrective actions, and escalating risks to the program manager
communicate and influence all project stakeholders to ensure holistic understanding of interdependencies and provide reliable project communications.

Exigences:

Experience confirmed of over 10 years in automation engineering, with implementation of systems integrated to enterprise ERP and WMS or MES systems
experience with large automation projects and software integrations involving multiple workflows (e.g., operations, engineering, compliance, quality, IT, ISRM, etc.)
experience in software lifecycle validation practices in regulated environments like the medical device industry or pharmaceuticals
experience in server infrastructure, networking, and/or cloud computing
excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
high-level programming experience such as Python, Java, or C++, and experience with automation controls like PLC and SCADA is a plus.
