Functieomschrijving:

We are looking for a Personal Assistant for the summer months to support Brent, a 16-year-old with core autism and a mental disability. This role involves providing empathetic care, undertaking fun activities, and assisting Brent to ensure a positive experience while alleviating the parents.

Functieverantwoordelijkheden:

Supervising and assisting Brent during 2 to 3 afternoons per week in the summer
Undertaking activities like walking by the sea, visiting the forest, playground, or swimming pool
Ensuring safety, including managing behavioral issues and special clothing requirements
Supporting Brent in daily care tasks such as eating and accompanying him during toilet visits
Transporting Brent to various locations for activities
Relieving the parents by providing care and support.

Vereisten:

Experience or strong interest in working with children or teenagers with disabilities, preferably experience with core autism
Empathetic, caring, and attentive to Brent's specific needs
Alert and able to respond quickly to changes in Brent’s behavior
Possesses a driver’s license and willing to transport Brent to different destinations
Flexible and available to work 2 to 3 afternoons per week during the summer months
Positive attitude and willing to support the parents in their daily care.
