We are looking for an operator (continuous) who is willing to take on the challenge of working within a new and unique process and help lay the foundations for scaling up to an industrial plant. As an operator, you and your colleagues are responsible for keeping the pilot installation running optimally and optimizing the process. You work together with the pilot plant manager, the engineering team in Belgium and Sweden, the fellow operators and laboratory technicians.

Functieverantwoordelijkheden:

Operate the DCS system: interpret and set process parameters, alarm limits and controllers
Execute test protocols, take samples and perform simple laboratory analyses
Ensure the supply of raw materials and the removal of the end product and residual flows
Provide necessary support for mechanical adjustments and maintenance work on the installation
Make improvement proposals to optimize safety and efficiency
Co-responsible for keeping procedures and technical documentation up to date

Vereisten:

Bachelor-diploma in a chemical direction or equivalent experience in a chemical process environment
Experience in a chemical process environment is a plus
Works meticulously according to procedures and guidelines
Proactive, signals deviations or unexpected observations and intervenes where necessary
Flexible and stress-resistant
Speaks Dutch and has a good knowledge of English
Willing to work in a continuous system
