Functieomschrijving:

Join a dynamic and innovative finance team as a VAT Accountant. You will be responsible for the efficient and correct processing of VAT and Intrastat returns for multiple European and EMA countries, ensuring compliance with legal and internal control requirements.

Functieverantwoordelijkheden:

Accurate execution of VAT returns and Intrastat reports
Contribution to the optimization of financial processes
Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal controls
Processing and checking VAT returns and Intrastat reports within deadlines
Correct internal and external reporting according to local legal requirements
Performing month-end closing activities related to VAT and Intrastat
Applying and monitoring internal controls (SOX) to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Identifying and implementing process improvements for more efficient working methods
Collaborating with other teams to ensure smooth operation and compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Active contribution to projects aimed at process optimization and compliance

Vereisten:

Bachelor in accountancy and a strong affinity with VAT
Fluent in English
additional European languages are a plus
Structured and accurate work style with strong planning skills
Analytical and problem-solving mindset
Ability to work independently
Good knowledge of Excel
Experience with SAP is a strong asset
