Job Description:

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Job Responsibility:

Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements
Identify and analyze issues, make recommendations, and implement solutions
Utilize knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex issues
Analyze information and make evaluative judgements to recommend solutions and improvements
Conduct testing and debugging, utilize script tools, and write basic code for design specifications
Assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures
Develop working knowledge of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, client server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements:

5-8 years of experience as full stack application development using .NET platform and environment
Strong knowledge and proven working experience as an ASP .NET/ASP.NET Core developer
Hands-on experience in developing ASP.NET Core/ ASP .NET MVC applications
Well-versed with Microsoft’s .NET framework and tech stack
Experience working with WebAPI, Entity Framework, ADO.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, JQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, and VB.NET
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and methods
Hands-on experience in database design, architecture, and integration
Should have strong knowledge and hands on experience in JAVA (Version 1.8 or above) / J2EE / Spring boot / restful Web Services
Expertise in .net, Angular and UI framework
Strong Knowledge of SQL and No SQL database
Expertise in mocking, Junit and perf testing of solutions
Should possess basic Unix/Linux knowledge to be able to write and understand basic shell scripts and basic Unix commands
Candidates with working knowledge on Docker / Kubernetes / OpenShift is a plus
Have basic experience in Data Preparation Tools Experience with CI/CD build pipelines and toolchain – Git, BitBucket, TeamCity, Artifactory, Jira Experience
Candidates with knowledge on webserver setup and configuration with reverse proxy/ssl setup etc (preferred nginx webserver) is a plus
Knowledge of testing concepts (TDD, BDD) is a plus
Strong design skills on Java/J2EE based solutions with Oracle/Mongo backend
Financial markets background is preferable but is not a must

Nice to have:
