The Account Executive, Government position focuses on supporting the growth of State and Local Government within an assigned territory, managing contract renewals, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and increasing revenue and retention rates. Responsibilities include generating new business opportunities, exceeding sales goals, negotiating contracts, acting as a brand ambassador, selling T-Mobile solutions, coordinating with internal teams, leading customer presentations, and engaging with stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Generate new business opportunities within the assigned portfolio of existing and target accounts
exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals
negotiate agreements and handle contract negotiations
act as the brand ambassador within the assigned territory
sell the total portfolio of T-Mobile solutions
coordinate with Account Management and other support teams
use Salesforce.com and other systems effectively for reporting and documentation
lead customer presentations and attend events
develop and implement account strategies
engage with internal stakeholders
complete continuous training to maintain product knowledge
uphold high standards for ethical and professional conduct.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
4+ years of proven experience in outside direct sales within an assigned territory
2+ years of sales experience in the public sector preferred
2+ years in telecom or technology sales strongly preferred
2+ years of account management and strategic selling preferred
strong presentation skills
possesses strong strategic selling skills
strong interpersonal skills
good solid understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
strong technical abilities and ability to learn new concepts quickly
excellent problem-solving skills
demonstrate ability to work with internal teams
ability to develop deep client relationships
strong organizational and territory management skills
