Job Responsibility:
Identify new hotel business (business transient, group, catering) to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals
Understand the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and know how to sell against them
Close the best opportunities for our hotel based on market conditions and needs
Gain understanding of our hotel’s target customer and service expectations
serve the guest by understanding their needs, issues and concerns
Respond to incoming group/catering opportunities for our hotel
(not only group & catering also transient business as well)
Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts
Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
Be attentive and focused on guests’ needs, while assisting them and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their event
Partners with Event Management and/or Operations to ensure a customer experience that exceeds guests expectations
Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
Attend pre- and post-convention meetings to understand group needs, obtain feedback on quality of product (e.g., rooms, meeting facilities and equipment, food and beverage), service levels and overall satisfaction
Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings
Develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for group/catering sales opportunities
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills in both English and Romanian (verbal, listening, writing)
At least 3 years’ experience in proactive sales
Previous experience in the hospitality industry, especially in the sales segment
Great negotiation skills and creative selling abilities
Computer skills and ability to use standard software applications
Strong planning and organizing skills, ability to drive results and ensure high standards in operations
Strong problem-solving and effective decision-making skills
Ability to acquire and maintain relationships e.g., employees, guests
Effective influence skills and good negotiation skills
