Job Description:

Growing company in the Bloomfield area is looking for an Accountant. Working with the Accounting Manager and being a contributing member of the Accounting team, you will be responsible for general ledger maintenance, month end close, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax return preparation, audit and special projects as assigned. Job Responsibility:

Process, record, and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts
Reconcile financial information to prepare and post journal entries
Assist with month end close activities
Prepare sales and use filings
Analyze and report on weekly sales and inventory
Conduct audits and participate in onsite audits
Assist with payroll processing and credit/collections as needed

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficient in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and accounting software
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks concurrently
Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards
Proactive in problem-solving and issue-resolution
Commitment to continual learning and development in the accounting field
