Job Description:

We are in search of an Accountant to join our client's team in Ruston, Louisiana. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in their accounting department, which has recently expanded its client portfolio. As an Accountant, you will be handling the daily accounting tasks and monthly close for a small group of clients. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in public accounting while maintaining a great work life balance!!

Job Responsibility:

Handle daily accounting tasks for multiple construction clients
Oversee the monthly closing process for client accounts
Collaborate with the senior manager for the review of financials and making necessary adjustments
Provide assistance in audit procedures and tax preparations
Work with other entry level accountants or interns assigned to your clients
Ensure all accounting activities are performed using financial software
Perform account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations
Maintain and update the general ledger and journal entries
Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks
Engage in job cost and construction accounting when necessary

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field
3+ years of accounting experience to include month end close support, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, AP/AR, or similar functions
Experience utilizing QuickBooks or similar software
Ability to manage time, stay organized, and work directly with clients
