Job Description:

We are offering a short term contract position for an Accounting Assistant in the Construction/Contractor industry, located in Bronx, New York. As an Accounting Assistant, your role will involve managing customer accounts, handling customer credit applications, and keeping thorough records.

Job Responsibility:

Precise and efficient handling of customer credit applications
Overseeing customer accounts and carrying out necessary actions
Keeping detailed and accurate customer credit records
Addressing customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner
Using Accounts Receivable (AR) skills to ensure effective account management and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or relevant role in the finance sector
Proficient understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) and its practical applications
Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records
Strong knowledge of basic accounting procedures, including managing and maintaining financial reports
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with relevant software (e.g., QuickBooks)
Strong data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
Good organizational and time-management abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Knowledge of construction industry processes and regulations is a plus
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Aptitude for problem-solving and working independently
Willingness to comply with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations
