Job Description:

We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join the accounting department of our client, a well-established law firm located in downtown Montreal. The selected candidate will play a key role in handling financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and providing administrative support related to accounting tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Record financial transactions
Maintain and update records, including invoice entry, payments, and transactions in the accounting system
Prepare and issue various financial documents (invoices, statements, periodic reports)
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including follow-ups and reminders
Respond to inquiries from various stakeholders and ensure proper follow-ups
Provide administrative support as needed and assist with other related tasks

Requirements:

Diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role
Experience with Maître software (an asset)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team while meeting deadlines
Strong attention to detail and solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

Experience with Maître software (an asset)
