Job Description:

We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team based in Alpharetta, Georgia. This role sits within the Service industry, focusing on servicing a large customer base of loyal wonderful fans. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting, managing financial data, and conducting month-end close operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise and manage financial reporting within the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Oversee the production of monthly and annual financial statements and reports
  • Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary data for financial reporting
  • Conduct month-end close operations, ensuring all financial data is accounted for and accurately recorded
  • Oversee the management of company financial data, ensuring its accuracy and security
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of financial information for internal and external stakeholders
  • Implement and manage financial control procedures to optimize financial performance
  • Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure company practices are up-to-date
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
  • Develop and implement improvements to financial processes and systems within the company

Requirements:

  • Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly preferred
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role is preferred
  • Proficiency in Month End Close processes is necessary
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required
  • Demonstrated experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills are crucial
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are needed
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and reports is required
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
  • Familiarity with internal controls, financial audits, and reporting is required
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must have the ability to interpret and analyze financial data and present findings clearly
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning is a plus
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations related to the accounting field is preferred
