Job Description:

We are in search of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the Food & Manufacturing industry, located in Solano County, United States. In this role, you will be overseeing the accounting functions of our organization, including both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, as well as supervising staff and managing various accounting procedures.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise the Accounts Receivable/Chargeback and Accounts Payable staff, providing backup support during staff absences
Ensure the accuracy of Customer and Vendor accounts in the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Subledgers
Oversee all month-end and year-end accounting procedures, including the preparation and entry of journal entries for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger systems
Administer customer credit management functions, coordinating credit approval processes when necessary
Manage the Continuous Improvement program, targeting cost savings and efficiency improvements in the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable areas
Assist with various audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards

Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role within the Food & Manufacturing industry
Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Knowledge and experience in Auditing processes
Ability to manage Billing Functions effectively
Thorough understanding and application of GAAP Accounting standards
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting - MBA and CPA preferred
