Job Description:

A leading company in the construction industry is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team in Rancho Dominguez, California. This is a fantastic opportunity to oversee key financial functions, including revenue recognition and the month-end close process.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Lead the month-end close cycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Guide and develop the financial team to ensure best practices and continuous improvement
Utilize accounting tools like BlackLine, Concur, and ADP to streamline financial operations
Manage the company’s ERP system to ensure smooth workflow
Leverage Excel for managing and analyzing financial data
Ensure accurate and timely billing functions, including invoicing and payments
Oversee revenue recognition, particularly using the percentage of completion method in construction
Audit financial data regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounting Manager role, preferably within the construction/contractor industry
Proficient in Accounting Software Systems, with a strong preference for candidates experienced with ADP - Financial Services, BlackLine, and Concur
Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is highly desirable
Deep understanding of all accounting functions, including but not limited to, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), auditing, and billing functions
Proven ability to manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting department
Demonstrated leadership skills, with an ability to direct and supervise a team
Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to interact professionally with all levels of staff
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
CPA or advanced degree is preferred
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis
