Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a fast track to controller. If you can get in quickly learn and master your role it could be only one year until you move up. The incumbent is also expecting a promotion so they are eager to train their potential replacement. You must possess strong supervisory skills to help manage a team of staff and senior accountants. This position will work hand in hand with the controller and CFO and will be groomed for rapid advancement. The company is growing rapidly and provides a great quality of life including one day to work from home each week. The office is fun and has a welcoming culture.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise a team of staff and senior accountants
Work closely with the controller and CFO
Prepare for rapid advancement
Manage Month End Close processes

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably within the middle market or larger companies
Proven supervisory management experience leading a team of accounting professionals
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred
Previous experience in a large public accounting firm highly desirable
Strong knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft Excel
Adept at learning new ERP systems
Demonstrated experience in Month End Close processes
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality

Nice to have:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
Previous experience in a large public accounting firm
