Job Description:

Fast growing, South Jersey distributor seeks an Accounting Manager with strong general ledger and cost analysis experience. This candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting team, managing accounts payable/receivable transactions, entering general ledger activities, preparing financial reports, reviewing cost analysis, analyzing variances, assisting with tax reconciliations, and overseeing the month end close process.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee general ledger accounts
Interpreting financial data
Revenue Recognition
Manage month-end/year-end audits
Contract Reviewal
Prepare financial statements/reports
Financial Analysis
Process Improvement Initiatives
Research cost accounting activities
Coach, train, and mentor staff

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accounting experience
CPA highly preferred
P/E owned experience a near must
Construction and/or manufacturing experience a MUST
Experience with contract reviews, % of completion, balance sheet recs, and revenue recognition
Intermediate Excel (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables), any ERP

Nice to have:

CPA
P/E owned experience
Construction and/or manufacturing experience
