Job Description:

The Accounting Manager role involves managing accounting modules, ensuring compliance with local and federal government requirements, and overseeing month-end and year-end processes. Key responsibilities include inventory accounting, revenue recognition, budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow analysis, and technical accounting research. The position also requires collaboration with contractors, vendors, and insurance agents.

Job Responsibility:

Handle inventory accounting and implement revenue recognition practices
Direct the preparation of budget and financial forecasts while reporting any variances
Conduct cash flow analysis on a regular basis
Ensure the timely preparation and publication of monthly financial statements
Lead the process of technical accounting research for compliance purposes
Guarantee quality control over all financial transactions and financial reporting
Coordinate with bonding and insurance companies as required
Handle the reconciliation of insurance/bank statements/loans
Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, contractors to fulfill contract agreement requirements
Prepare pre-qualifications for upcoming projects with contractors
Manage workers compensation claims in coordination with carriers and agents
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain robust internal controls

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in an accounting managerial role in the Construction industry
Demonstrated experience in managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Solid understanding of the General Ledger
Capable of performing Month End Close activities
Ability to prepare and analyze Monthly Financial Statements
Experience in Inventory Accounting
Proven skills in Budgeting and Forecasting
Proficiency in Sage Timberline accounting software
