Job Description:

Our growing client is looking for an interim Accounting Manager to lead a team in month end closing. The position will be located in Brentwood, Tennessee. This role involves working on-site and will focus on general ledger activities, leading teams and month end close procedures.

Job Responsibility:

Managerial experience – this is a team of 6 with a lot going on
Month end close experience for a large company to include journal entries, reconciliations, financial schedules
Reconcile balances and ensure that debits and credits are accurately recorded
Take part in process improvement and creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Requirements:

Managerial experience – this is a team of 6 with a lot going on
Month end close experience for a large company to include journal entries, reconciliations, financial schedules
General Knowledge of GAAP for especially prepaids, expense accruals, lease accounting, fixed assets and intangible assets
Reconcile balances and ensure that debits and credits are accurately recorded
Take part in process improvement and creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Experience with Intercompany transactions preferred
Experience with FX translation a plus
Proficiency in using BlackLine software
Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions
Experience with auditing procedures
Familiarity with billing functions
Understanding of US GAAP standards
Experience in month-end close activities
Ability to prepare month-end financial reports
Proficiency in account reconciliation
Knowledge in managing prepaids
Experience with expense accruals
Familiarity with fixed assets management
Experience with intercompany transactions
Knowledge in foreign currency translation
Proficiency in using D365 or similar software would be helpful

Nice to have:

Experience with FX translation
Proficiency in using D365 or similar software
