Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous Accounting Manager to be part of our commercial real estate team based in New York. The Accounting Manager will be instrumental in overseeing various accounting processes, including general accounting, month-end close, and dealing with auditors. You will also be involved in financial reporting and consolidations, month end close, journal entries, balance sheet review and reconciliations and intercompany accounting.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and manage general accounting operations
Conduct monthly close procedures and deliverables, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the Oracle system
Engage with auditors to ensure appropriate audit scope
Conduct financial reporting and prepare detailed reports on findings
Execute and follow-up with consolidations processes
Oversee balance sheet account reconciliation and reviews
Carry out ad hoc projects as requested to improve accounting processes
Leverage your knowledge of commercial real estate to enhance accounting procedures
Use your CPA designation to ensure compliance with accounting standards
Contribute to the automation of processes to increase efficiency

Requirements:

Applicant must hold a position of Accounting Manager or similar for a minimum of 7 years
Proficiency in auditing procedures is required
Demonstrated ability in handling general ledger tasks
Experience in month end close procedures
Familiarity with month-end close activities
Ability to prepare and review month-end journal entries
Proficiency in balance sheet account reconciliation
Experience in conducting balance sheet reviews
Knowledge of balance sheets and consolidated balance sheet handling
Proficiency in using Oracle or similar finance software
Experience in the commercial real estate sector is a plus
Demonstrated ability in handling consolidations
Previous experience in a public company is desirable
Applicant must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) title
CPA designation from a recognized institution is mandatory
