Job Description:

A premier resort in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Accounting Manager to oversee and manage its accounting operations. Job Responsibility:

Lead and manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support as necessary
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to ensure alignment with the resort's strategic objectives
Review and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency with all financial processes
Coordinate audits, tax preparation, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws
Work closely with the executive and operations teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
Hospitality or resort industry experience preferred
Advanced knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and strong proficiency in Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across all levels of the organization
