Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team in the Services industry, located in Los Angeles, California. As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee all accounting operations, perform month-end close processes, and play a key role in our company's forecasting and budgeting processes. You will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation of schedules related to the annual audit process and ensuring compliance with the organization’s Policies & Procedures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL)
  • Conduct month-end close, quarter-end, and year-end processes
  • Participate in strategic decision-making, metrics development, and performance analytics
  • Contribute significantly to forecasting and budgeting processes, aligning financial planning with business goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the usage of Workday Adaptive Planning, our budget and financial planning software tool
  • Assist in the preparation of schedules for annual audit process and tax filing requirements
  • Review and update the organization’s Policies & Procedures, ensuring compliance and providing training
  • Collaborate with Finance Grant Manager to collect required documents for completing audits and program reviews
  • Prepare annual sales and use tax filings, and process annual 1099 filing and reports in a timely manner
  • Carry out other responsibilities as directed by the Controller and the Chief Financial and Operating Officer

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar, detail-oriented role within the Services industry
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Ability to handle all essential Accounting Functions
  • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Proven expertise in Auditing
  • Ability to manage Billing Functions effectively
  • Experience with month end close deliverables
  • Knowledge of grant accounting and grant administration for nonprofit accounting
