Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Specialist based in Danbury, Connecticut. In this role, you will be entrusted with a host of responsibilities, including processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer records, and managing customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately process payroll for a team of 30, adhering to company policies and regulations
efficiently handle a high volume of invoices, ensuring timely payments
manually prepare checks using a custom system
maintain organized records of vendor payments and promptly resolve any discrepancies
respond to employee payroll inquiries and manage related records
assist with additional administrative and financial tasks as needed within a small office setting
provide backup support for other functions in the office, contributing to a collaborative workflow
ensure accuracy and timeliness in data entry and account reconciliation
utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for various accounting tasks
take on responsibilities related to benefits payroll and AP

Requirements:

Proficiency in account reconciliation, demonstrating an ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently
experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner
familiarity with billing processes, with a focus on accuracy and precision in all transactions
bilingual Spanish speaking preferred
experience in invoice processing, demonstrating an understanding of the complete cycle from receipt to payment
