Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Financial Services industry based in Washington, District of Columbia. We are in search of an Accounts Payable Accountant who will perform a variety of tasks, ranging from processing customer applications to maintaining accurate records and resolving customer inquiries. This role is vital for monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct multi-tasking efficiently, handling various tasks simultaneously
Plan and prioritize work activities to ensure efficiency
Pay exceptional attention to detail and exhibit excellent organizational skills
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Exhibit independent judgment skills
Show excellent analytical abilities, summarizing data for report, and finding solutions to various accounting problems
Display highly proficient computer skills, especially in common office tasks such as email handling, internet searches, and use of MSOffice (Outlook, MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)
Work well in a team environment or independently
Manage accounts payable, including account reconciliation, check runs, coding invoices, data entry, and invoice processing
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Accountant role or similar within the Financial Services industry
Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation
Solid experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory
Proven ability to conduct Check Runs efficiently
Experience in Coding Invoices is essential
Excellent Data Entry skills are required
Must have experience in Invoice Processing
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
Prior experience with QuickBooks is highly desirable
