Job Description:

An established company in Fallbrook, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to join their team. Job Responsibility:

Review, verify, and process incoming invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals
Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts to verify costs and quantities
Enter invoice and payment data promptly into the accounting system
Assist in preparing payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, on time
Maintain the AP aging report and follow up on payment discrepancies or outstanding amounts
Maintain files of vendor invoices and payment histories in compliance with company recordkeeping policies
Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for and payments have been made appropriately

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
associate degree in accounting or finance preferred
1+ year of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and intermediate Excel skills
Strong attention to detail
excellent organizational skills
ability to meet deadlines
