Job Description:

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based in Norton Shores, Michigan. This role involves carrying out a range of financial operations within our manufacturing industry, with particular emphasis on managing accounts payable and payroll.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to address any inquiries or issues
Verify and match invoices to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies
Reconcile accounts payable records with the general ledger
Process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Maintain employee records, including timekeeping, tax forms, and deductions
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, such as overpayments or missing hours
Assist in the preparation and balancing of payroll reports, including 401(k), garnishments, and tax filings
Perform reconciliations and assist in month-end or year-end closing processes
Generate financial reports as requested to support management
Assist in ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar
Proven expertise in account reconciliation
Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems
Experience with check runs
Ability to accurately code invoices
Proficient in data entry tasks
Experience in invoice processing is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Oracle financial software is desirable
Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software is beneficial
Familiarity with SAP software is an advantage

Nice to have:

Experience with Oracle financial software
